This year, for the first time ever Arizona Water Company was able to launch a Toilet Rebate Program for AWC customers in the area! This grant was made possible by the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority of Arizona, or WIFA. We are so excited to offer this program and help residents replace toilets to conserve water! Arizona Water Company is pleased to offer single-family residential customers in San Manuel, SaddleBrooke Ranch, Oracle, and unincorporated areas near these communities the opportunity to receive a free home conservation kit.
The kit contains:
• EPA WaterSense® labeled low-flow shower head
• EPA WaterSense® bathroom faucet aerator
• Toilet flapper
• Toilet leak detection tablets
• Toilet tank bank
• Plumber’s tape
• Five drip emitters
• Ten goof plugs
• One drip punch tool

This year, Arizona Water Company staff represented Drop by Drop at a few different events including the community group presentations and the San Manuel Car Show. It is important for staff to be present in the community to address questions related to water and promote the conservation resources available to residents and businesses. Did you know that your summertime grass needs to be watered even in the fall and winter? Even though bermuda grass is dormant in the winter, it still needs a little water so that the root system doesn’t die out. Water your bermuda grass once every 6-21 days in the fall as long as the water is getting 6-10 inches deep!
